November - Halloween Night

November 9th

I know it's only been 2 weeks since our last get together but we just can't get enough of each other lol! This month was my turn to host and I have been planning this one since about April (when a huge box of Halloween decorations landed on my lap). I had a lot help from Remi and Enora from France who had some great creative ideas for the set up and I think they all worked very well, judge for yourselves..........................

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Inside looked just as good as outside, the bathroom was my favourite. I just love the guy hanging in the shower.

 

 

Once everything was set up the guests started to arrive with the food and that's when it the fun really began. 1st we have the guests themselves, everyone made such a great effort. Here they are.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And not only did they bring themselves dressed as various monsters and all things Halloween but their food was just as inventive......................

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think it was the best party yet but then again I was the host lol!

 

October - Picnic Races

October 26th

Ok we went and did something a little different for this one. I thought "why not get together as a family but somewhere other than our homes" so we went to the  races and what a good choice that turned out to be. It was a great day all round.

 

 

 

I think we looked very smart on the day but I do think that our children looked even smarter than we did, don't you agree?

 

By the way, there are no photos of food, not because I forgot but because we couldn't take any (or so we thought). The next one will be even more organized and we'll take our own picnic lunch

September -70's Night

September 28th

WOW what a night to remember - not 1, not 2 but 3 mishaps and to add to that, a trip to the hospital. Accidents aside it was a fantastic night, everyone got into the spirit of dressing up and it was 70's all the way. The costumes were great and to my huge embarrassment some 70's looks that were not actually costume but someone actual normal cloths - Catherine you put your foot in it again ha ha.
 











Food was exceptional (as always) and the fondues were a huge hit and yes I said fondues because we hade 2, a cheese and a chocolate, hard to choose but I'd have to go with chocolate.

July - Chinese Night

July 27th

The one I was looking forward to the least as I am not a Chinese food fan but then I went and was surprised that I actually liked the food, so no more pre-judgements from me from now on. It was a great night - as are all our themed dinner nights. I was enjoying the night so much that again the photo taking was forgotten about so alas I have no photos to share of our Chinese themed dinner, hopefully I'll remember next month, till then................................

June - Cylinder Night

June 8th

Now this was a night with a difference, not that we are running out of countries already but that we wanted a change a pace, make ourselves think outside the box (or the cylinder as the case may be).

 

Noticing a theme here..............ha ha

Some very inventive ideas and some very simple ones.

 

 

And a wonderful cool evening finished off with a few beers around the open fire................ahhhhhhh
